BEHIND THIS ARTWORK

Inspired by a memorable trip to the Somerset Levels, Charles captures the unmistakable deep ‘chirr-rupp’ call of these iconic yet elusive birds.

Majestic in scale yet wonderfully graceful, cranes are instantly recognisable by their long legs, elegant necks and sweeping, curved tail feathers. Their grand, almost regal presence is beautifully brought to life among the wildflowers and grasses of their natural habitat.

Set against a glorious gold backdrop, the crane’s refined colouring feels luminous and luxurious, creating a striking piece that celebrates both the beauty of the bird and the quiet drama of the landscape.

MEET BECKY: ARTIST CELEBRATING THE BEAUTY OF NATURE

Hi, I'm Becky a fine artist based in the UK, devoted mum to two incredible teenagers, and the proud owner of one lively canine companion.

A few years ago, I rediscovered my passion for painting amid a busy life as a paediatric physiotherapist. Since then, I've immersed myself in the world of art, honing my skills and channelling my creativity into every painting.

Inspired by the boundless beauty of nature, I specialise in creating artwork that captures the wonder and joy of the natural world.

My artistic journey took an intriguing turn when I discovered gold leaf. Infusing my paintings with the luminous glow of gold, I found a way to elevate my work to new heights, adding richness and radiance to every piece.

For me, gold is more than just a material - it's like working with sunshine itself, bringing warmth and vitality to my creations.

If you share my love for nature's beauty and a touch of opulence you've come to the right place.  Click below to delve deeper into my world, where each painting tells a story and invites you to experience the magic of the natural world through art.
