This painting reflects my imagination of a spring hare who is keeping an eye on it's surroundings, being on vigilant watch.

I have always loved hares and how their inquisitive heads pop up in the long grass in the countryside.  One night I stood in my garden and was mesmerised by the radiant spring moon. May's full moon is often known as the flower moon thanks to the abundant blooming that occurs as Spring is in it's glory.

Hettie is a striking and loveable  hare, who stands on watch in front of a gold spring moon.

Gold leaf sparkles in bright light and glows in lower light, oozing luxury and elegance.

This painting is enchanting, joyful and enriches any decor!

Size: 54cm x 54cm

FRAMED in a black hand painted wooden tray frame.  Ready to hang.

An original painting. Gold leaf metal underlay and acrylic paint on canvas. Signed on the front.

This painting is sent to you wrapped in recycled bubble wrap, cardboard corner protectors and corregated cardboard on the outer layer.

Please Note: Colour varies from screen to screen and devices. Colours are captured as accurately as possible. The process of applying gold leaf involves an underlay of red paint, there may be very small areas where the red is visible.

About The Artist

Hi, I'm Becky an internationally recognised fine artist, devoted
mum to two incredible teenagers, and the proud owner of one lively canine
companion. A few years ago, I rediscovered my passion for painting amidst the busyness of life as a paediatric physiotherapist. Since then, I've immersed myself in the world of art, honing my skills and channelling my creativity into every stroke of the brush.

Inspired by the boundless beauty of nature, I specialise in creating artwork that captures the wonder and joy of the natural world.

My artistic journey took an intriguing turn when I discovered the transformative power of gold leaf. Infusing my paintings with the luminous glow of gold, I found a way to elevate my work to new heights, adding richness and radiance to every piece.

For me, gold is more than just a material - it's like working with sunshine itself, bringing warmth and vitality to my
creations.
